"Artificial Intelligence: efficiency, scalability and innovation": June 25th a day dedicated to the future of AI in Italy

An event entirely dedicated to the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it impacts and transforms IT infrastructures will be held in Bologna, at the DAMA Tecnopolo Data Manifattura. The event is organized by EuroCC Italy, the Italian Competence Center for the technology transfer of high-performance computers, and Krateo, an open source and cloud-native platform developed in Italy to simplify the orchestration of complex IT infrastructures through AI.
EUROCC Italy is the National Competence Center for High Performance Computing (HPC), the result of collaboration between leading partners such as BI-REX, Cineca, Dompé, Fondazione IFAB and Leonardo. The project, promoted and co-financed by the European Union, was created with the aim of transforming academic knowledge into concrete training and technology transfer actions, responding to the real needs of the manufacturing world. EUROCC Italy is part of a European network that involves 33 Member States and partner countries, with the ambition of activating and connecting national skills in the HPC field, offering a portfolio of customized services for businesses, universities and public administrations.
The event represents an important opportunity to delve into and interpret the most pressing issues that, starting from AI, interconnect the main industrial sectors and public administration. Themes that will be addressed concern in particular the issues of governance and practical implementation of scalable and sustainable AI solutions.
“ In the current technological landscape, artificial intelligence is at the crossroads between extraordinary opportunities and systemic responsibilities, ” says Giulio Covassi, CEO of Krateo . “ This event represents a laboratory of ideas where theory and practice meet to outline AI architectures that not only perform, but that set new standards of reliability and sustainability for the entire Italian digital ecosystem .”
Speakers at the round table include:
Alessandro Cimatti, director of the Digital Industry Center at the Bruno Kessler Foundation, is internationally recognized as one of the leading experts in AI and formal verification;
Ranieri Razzante, university professor and former member of the AI Strategy Committee at the Presidency of the Council;
Ivano Cortinovis, CIO of D-Orbit, a leading company in logistics and aerospace transport;
Alfredo Nulli, Head of Architecture & Technology Portfolio TIM Enterprise, with consolidated experience in enterprise architecture and digital transformation.
Rapidly evolving technological and production paradigms open up new challenges for IT infrastructures, while at the same time outlining the need for increasingly high-performance AI connected to reliable and verifiable digital systems.
